Heelflips

I am so happy right now,

woke up this morning expecting to see rain and fog and freezing temperatures but for the 1st time on ages i sore dry paths and roads and this thing i dont see much called the sun.

so with this once in a month time opportunity me and a mate hit the skatepark for the day,

I have been trying to lern heelflips for a while now and today i really said i will get my heelflips sorted by the end of this sesh, so with a bunch of practise i sorted out my rolling motion and landed quite a few after getting the  hang of the foot rolling thing,

i record for a short time and got a few landed and some close ones from when i was practising,

Why does everyone hate skaters?

If you are a skater you will no what I mean when I say everyone hates you...

When me and my mates are just skating to the shop not even skating a spot the amount of dirty looks people fire at us is so annoying,

For some reason most PUBLIC places that we find and decide to skate within about 20 mins the police are there with full body protection gear, hands on there battons telling us to get lost,

No one really understands what is the problem with us being in a public place,

People need to understand that skateboarding is not a crime and we have just as much right as someone who pushes a push chair to be there,

So my message to all the police, when you are there telling us to get out when we ask why officer instead of saying "you have no right to ask me that" or "because were the police" give us a valid reason....

Students Suspended For Throwing Snowballs

In a school in Leeds 6 students have spent this week at home as they were sent home on monday erly with a suspension to last the whole week!

The mother of one of these children think it is abserloutly discrasefull and that is no longer protecting the education of others, and damaging the education of her boy,

These 6 boys that where suspended where part of a snowball fight containing over 60 pupils, and some how these 6 were demeed to be more in the wrong than others with no other apparent reason,

The principal of this school says that they do not tolerate this kind of behaviour and that it is important to insure the saftey of all pupils in the school and for this reason he has removed these boys from the school,

After all of the boys parents complained to the goverment and other parents there has been an investigation launched by the council to investigate wheather the school where right to give such a servire punishment for mearly "throwing a snowball"

personally i think this a stupid decision by the school and that there will be some kind of consquence for the staff who made this decision,
Personally i was suspended in yr 7 (now yr 10) for trashing a class room and i see that more of a problem and i was only given a 1 day suspension with just a slap on wrist,

Baker Deck Review

The Baker Team Logo 7.65" Deck:

This my current deck,
so far i have ridden it about 4-5 times and so far i love this deck!

alot of people would say that the deck is to small, well personally i like smaller decks i find it much easier to do flip tricks on and what alot of people don't realise is that the difference between 7.5 and 7.75 is so small when you hold them next to each other it is almost unnoticeable.

The deck has a very nice concave, it isnt the biggest concave by all means but it is noticeable but at the same time you can skate along without getting foot ache because you have such a big concave your foot is a t a horrible angle.

One of my favourite features about this deck is that the nose and tail are exactly the same, this means when you do a shuv it or varial  kickflip ect...  you wont feel the difference like you do on other decks,

I personally carried out experiments to test this theory and from what i found out this is true, now i always have one side forward so eventually i expect them to clearly noticeable but  for now i dont have to worry about what side i have forward and makes landing shuv its ect... alot easier.

The deck is made from 7 layer maple wood and is very strong and durable, i have had one instants where my deck rolled into a sharp corner of a ramp and was strong enough to not take a chip, on my old deck that same corner took a chunk out the end of my nose.

The graphic is very plain simple and i personally like it alot, (picture above)
surprisingly the graphic is quite long lasting and does not scratch and get defaced as easy as other decks might.

The deck has i would say an average pop size not the biggest but i would defiantly not  get this as your first deck as the pop is great enough to require fairly good control over  your pop and all tricks.

The deck is just a standard 33.2" long, like most of the current skateboards.

Schools Open Today!

Currently ALL schools in my county are OPEN today despite for fresh snow on top of the 3" of ice.

Looking out my window i recon the skate sesh has been put on hold for about another week...

how ever on the last snow day (monday) our pricipal single handeldy cleard all thr snow by his self around every single footpath, this is probs what hes doing now,

Snow In the UK

Snow has been falling for the last couple of hours here and looks to continue lightly through out the night,

For all the school kids like myself there is a tiny chance of a day off school due to the ice underneath the fresh snow,

About 1-5cm is expected across south eastern uk and will be spreading across to the west and into Wales through out the night,



This is the weather forecast for my area, however I would still set that alarm and expect a last day of term
